SoftRX
SoftRx is an evolving platform and site for whatsoftdata’s experimental practice. Conceived as a system of layered chance, it functions as an environment in which planned coincidences and situated interactions generate new narratives over time.
MAKE IT SOFT, presented as the soft launch of SoftRx, marked the collective’s first and only exhibition on this platform. The exhibition framed the site as a living system—one that took shape through bodily presence, duration, and the continuous reconfiguration of spatial and social conditions. Rather than a fixed exhibition, MAKE IT SOFT positioned the site as something that emerged through use and participation.
This initial exhibition established SoftRx as a temporary framework for practice: a space that evolved over time, through interaction and accumulation, and served as the foundation for subsequent projects developed during the final phase of whatsoftdata’s activity. While the collective is no longer active, SoftRx remains a key context for understanding works such as Threshold and Traces, which were produced during this period.
