A non-place|Maclean 819
A non-place (2018) is a virtual installation where the fragments of a space take on their own lives. The space can be deconstructed into its comprising pieces and then the pieces can find its place anywhere they like. The 3-D scanned environment is in itself a distorted reality, but further reconfiguration makes it difficult to identify it as a specific place after a certain duration. The virtual environment is a stand-in for all spaces, as there is no fixed space and all spaces are transformed through interactions and experiences that constitute them.
