Bluet

Created in collaboration with Yuzhu Chai

Bluet (2019) is a physical text object that conveys the idea of the color blue and intimacy through three stories each written in a different style and perspective. The structure of the object takes the text as its building material and embodies the structure of the writing itself. Bluet, in turn, becomes an object that derives its meaning not from being read but from being seen from infinite possibilities of perspectives informed by the physical environment that both the audience and the object occupy.

In this iteration as a 3D game on the website, a randomly generated geometric virtual space replaces the physical environment.
